Evans Cycles want staff for Ride It series

Evans Cycles, the UK’s largest specialist cycle retailer, recently announced the creation of a nationwide series of organised mountain biking and road rides throughout the UK, starting spring 2008. Evans Cycles Ride It will take place every second weekend with a mountain bike ride on the Saturday and a sportive road ride on the Sunday.

The rides (not races) will appeal to all cyclists, from first timers to seasoned two wheeled veterans. A range of routes will be available, from short routes with minimal climbing for families and beginners to more epic distances involving challenging terrain for the experienced cyclists.

Event staff needed.

Evans Cycles are recruiting for staff to help deliver the new Ride It series of events starting in March. A small, dedicated team of people are being assembled who will be responsible for the set up, running and taking down of the events and routes. A dedicated event mechanic is also being recruited.

“This is a great role for the right people” says Dean Stacey, Evans Cycles Event Manager, “We need people that love cycling and want to see others enjoying the sport as much as they do. Dependability, a friendly character and an outgoing personality are all prerequisites.”

“With a lot of time on the bikes marking out and taking down both road and mountain bike courses candidates need to enjoy both road and off-road cycling and be able to ride reasonable distances.”
A variety of roles are available ranging from staff needed for 6 days a month to others needed for 10 days a month.

“Morning people and those that are flexible enough to work every second weekend need only apply” says Dean. “Candidates also need to have a full drivers licence and ideally be based in the South East”.

More information and details on how to apply can be found on the Jobs section of the Evans Cycles website www.evanscycles.com
