More food needed – now |
The countdown is on to the start of Britain’s biggest cyclosportive, The Dragon Ride Wales, as the event enters the final 20 days for entries to be registered online.
The event has once again generated a phenomenal level of interest with entries already being posted from throughout the UK and as far afield as South Africa, New Zealand, Germany, Colombia, Australia and Canada. Remaining places are now down to a few hundred from the 3000 maximum for 2008.
The Dragon Ride Wales will be running this, its 5th anniversary event, with a new out-of-town start and finish location but still taking in the leg breaking climb of the Bwlch and the long sweep across the Brecon Beacons. A choice of routes are available; 120km and a tough 180km which will sap the strength of riders even in fine weather across the windswept expanse of the Beacons, with the very best riders attempting to crack the elusive 6 hour barrier in completing the route.
Time is also running out to secure one of the remaining 2008 Dragon Ride Wales jerseys or T-shirts designed and manufactured by Belgian clothing specialist BioRacer, producers of cycling kit to Quickstep and the Belgian national team.
Riders wishing to enter the Dragon Ride Wales 2008 online can do so by following the link on the Dragon Ride Wales website at www.dragonride.co.uk.
