London-Paris 2009 entries open

Entries to the London-Paris Cycle Tour opened at 18:00 on 17 November. Two hundred entries have initially been made available to the public, with more entries due to be released after teams, partners, sponsors and stars have been allocated. The route for 2009 is shorter (514km) than in 2008 (590km) with stages of about 180km, 167km, 168km over the three ride days. L2P 2009 will have a very classic style day 2 but without cobbles. The ferry crossing will be from Dover to Calais.

Stars so far signed include ex TdF winner, Giro winner and World Champion Stephen Roche, ex England footballer Geoff Thomas and two time UK road race champion Brian Smith.
