Rouleur 13 out soon

The thirteenth issue of Rouleur will feature Robert Millar’s story of Stage 17 of the ’84 Tour de France, in the great climber’s own words. It will also pay tribute to some of the giants, both men and mountains, of the Giro d’Italia. Issue 13 also includes unique and exclusive photography, from six Rouleur photographers, depicting the beauty, grit and hardship of this year’s spring Classics.

The latest issue features:

Into the Valley | Robert Millar; “Each acceleration feels like a kick in the stomach – brutal, sickening, and designed to hurt as much as possible.” Robert Millar recounts a day with the ‘animals’ of the 1984 Tour de France.

Mortirolo | Herbie Sykes; Rouleur scales one of the hardest climbs of the Dolomites and one of the greatest scenes to host the Giro, the Passo Mortirolo.

The Spring Classics; the Rouleur photographers were out in force for this year’s events, and some of the results can be found in Rouleur 13.

Tubular Tyres | Rohan Dubash; all you’ve ever wanted to know about fitting tubular tyres, in just a few easy [ahem] steps with Rouleur’s chief technical correspondent and bike builder extraordinaire, Rohan Dubash.

Fausto Coppi | William Fotheringham; regular Rouleur contributor William Fotheringham’s latest book, Fallen Angel, is the story of the mercurial rider the Italians still refer to as Il Campionissimo. He sets the scene with an extract from the new book and a prologue to his journey with the Heron.

1984 | Les Woodland; Robert Millar won the King of the Mountains competition in the ’84 Tour and is the only English-speaking rider ever to do so. Les Woodland remembers the significance of his achievement.

Rouleur 13 will be released at the end of this month. More at www.rouleur.cc.
