Get training and get blogging

Not sure where to start with your New Year training? Well RoadCyclingUK is here to help with the launch of our new training ‘Blog’ section.

After many of us have spent the festive season overindulging in mince pies and Christmas pud now is the time to think about putting your training plan into practice for the year ahead.

Whether you’re in for some serious competitive riding over the approaching race season, or if you’re looking to improve on your personal best on the bike at any level, the new ‘Blog’ section allows you to track your training progress and benefit from the diaries of others.

We’ve come up with a few things to help you log your changes in fitness. You can record different elements of your sessions including heart-rate and average speed or simply make notes and comments that help you to identify strengths and weaknesses in your performance and routine.

If you’re focusing on road mileage this year, training for the range of track racing events, competing in triathlon, or embarking on a challenge ride, we want to hear how you’re getting on.

You can post your ‘Blog’ entries here and add new info each time you get out on the bike.

To learn how to get the most out of the blogs, check out our sample blog. Simply copy and paste the text into your blog and fill in the empty spaces. Don’t worry if you don’t want to fill in every one, just do as much as you want to.

So, get training, get blogging and good luck!
