After months of frenzied behind-the-scenes activity, RCUK is proud to announce the roadcyclinguk.com/Andy Cook Alps Training Camp for 2009.
It will be, we hope readers will agree, an exceptional experience, with everything the serious road cyclists might want up to and including activities suitable for the rest of the family…
We have teamed up with the hugely experienced Andy Cook, veteran of too many camps to mention, to offer what we consider one of the most complete packages available. In addition to four days of hard riding through some of the most challenging and beautiful scenery in the Northern Alps, there will be a visit to the World Cycling Centre, home of the UCI, where participants will have the chance to ride the vertiginous banking of the 200m indoor velodrome and marvel at the 9m high start ramp of one of only two Olympic standard BMX tracks currently in existence.
The camp will finish with a ride in the spectacular Time Megeve Mont Blanc sportive and will provide plenty of exciting extra-curricular activity on the rest day for those who want it. For those who need a shorter break we also offer a weekend package that includes the Time Megeve sportive.
With chalet-style accommodation in Morzine, half-board catering and ride groups tailored to cyclists of varying abilities, this is a camp for the serious sportive rider and lover of mountain scenery alike.
Priced at €775 for the Full Week Cycling Programme, the camp will run from Saturday 6th June to Sunday 14th June inclusive. Full details including booking may be found
