World champion Peter Sagan will ride for Bora-hansgrohe next year, after the German team confirmed the Slovakian had agreed a three-year deal.
Sagan had been strongly linked with a move to the team, currently Bora-Argon 18, as they bid to step up to WorldTour level in 2017 – particularly following Oleg Tinkov’s announcement he was stopping his funding of the Tinkoff team.
And the team confirmed Sagan, alongside four Tinkoff team-mates, will all be making the switch to Bora.
Sagan’s brother, and Slovakian national champion, Juraj will join Peter at Bora-hansgrohe, as will Polish time trial champion Maciej Bodnar and Slovakian youngsters Erik Baska and Michael Kolar.
