Lizzie Armitstead and Peter Sagan leave Richmond on top of the world after claiming the rainbow jerseys in the elite road races at the UCI Road World Championships 2015.
Armitstead sprinted to victory from an elite group to claim her first world title for Great Britain while Sagan attacked late and held off a rampaging chasing group to also pull on the rainbow stripes for the first time.
On a punchy, cobbled course which made for an exciting week of racing, Richmond delivered an enthralling UCI Road World Championships, with Vasil Kiryienka (Belarus) and Linda Villumsen (New Zealand) also leaving with gold medals after their respective time trial victories.
