Britain’s cyclo-cross riders are following their road and track counterparts to the centre of the world stage.
British champions, Nikki Harris (Telenet-Fidea) and Ian Field (Specialized-Hargroves), produced strong performances for a second consecutive week at the elite level of world ‘cross.
Harris took the fight to defending champion, Katie Compton (Trek) in the early stages of the elite women’s race, and clung on to finish within just six seconds of the American.
And Field, the only British male competing in the top-tier of one of cycling’s hardest disciplines, continued a superb start to his season, cracking the top 20 for a second consecutive week.
Balint Hamvas made the long journey from London to the Czech Republic to take these superb images.
