Organisers have reworked the Gent-Wevelgem route for 2016, in the hope of encouraging a more open race.
Traditionally viewed as the more sprinter-friendly of the Classics, last year’s race was hit by bad weather making for an enthralling spectacle in high winds.
And this year could be just as unpredictable because, while the weather forecast is much better, the addition of the steeper climb of the Kemmelberg could shake up the peloton on the run-in to Wevelgem.
You can watch the action unfold from the comfort of your sofa on Easter Sunday (March 27), with BIKE Channel bringing you exclusive live action.
