Chris Froome (Team Sky) and Alberto Contador (Tinkoff-Saxo) will go wheel-to-wheel at the Ruta del Sol in Andalucia this week, resuming hostilities for the first time since the 2014 Vuelta a Espana.
Contador won on that occasion and will look to kick-off his preparations for a Giro-Tour double in similar style, while Froome is determined to bounce back from an injury-hit 2014 campaign.
And the two are not the only big names in action in the race, which will be shown live on British Eurosport.
Bauke Mollema (Trek Factory Racing), Daniel Navarro (Cofidis) and Romain Bardet (Ag2r-La Mondiale) are also in action, and will face off with Froome and Contador on two big summit finishes on stages three and four.
