The Lionheart sportive returns for a third year on Sunday March 17 2013.
The event, which starts and finishes in the grounds of Longleat House, Wiltshire, famed for its safari park, will offer two routes: 100km and 100 miles.
While the distances remain the same as last year, organisers claim to have ‘tweaked’ the routes to offer more scenic rides.
Both routes will pass Shearwater Lake and the Stourhead Estate, claimed to be the most visited of all of those owned by the National Trust.
Entrants will benefit from electronic timing from a helmet-mounted tag, a fully signed route, NEG safety marshals, a broom wagon, mechanical support, and first aid from South West Ambulance.
Photographic duties will be handled by Sportive Photo, feed stations will be positioned on the route, and free parking offered in the grounds of Longleat House. Finishers will return to a ‘hotpot’ meal and goodie bag.
Entry costs £36.
