Crossing the Rivers Severn and Teme, the route packs in rolling countryside, green woodlands and the towns and villages of Birmingham’s neighbouring counties, with 2,000m of climbing in all.
At 85 miles into the ride, there is also a King and Queen of the Mountain challenge, for those who have kept enough in reserve for the climb out of Belbroughton.
Entries are now open for the event, to those who pre-registered, while anybody who has not pre-registered but still wants to enter can leave their details here.
However, with entries currently available exclusively to those who pre-registered, on a first come first served basis – and with tens of thousands having pre-registered, according to organisers – it is likely to sell out, though the entry fee may put some off.
Prices were revealed as tickets went on sale on Thursday (September 29), with general entry set at £75 and Fast Track Entry at £115 – the latter offering riders the chance to ride in one of the front three groups on the day and have their ride pack delivered, to alleviate the need to collect it.
