If there’s one thing guaranteed to rile cyclists more than the behaviour of other cyclists on the road, it’s the opinions of other riders on how you should behave.

It’s a source of endless online debate, anger, frustration and even amusement usually culminating in a realisation that a very large number of people can only really agree on very few things.

With that in mind, we’ve boldly thrown our hat into the proverbial ring and offered up a few opinions of our own on cycling etiquette – we’re not talking about those rules, but day-to-day dos and don’ts that keep the cycling world spinning happily. And, of course, being RCUK we’re definitely right (we’re probably not). So here’s our guide to the ‘rules’ of the road…
