There are plenty of good reasons to ride through winter. After all, why stop? One of the best times to be on the bike is wrapped up on a cold, crisp winter’s morning.
However, invariably motivation can wane when the weather’s not playing ball and it’s the thought of summer that gets us through it. If you’ve managed to get a solid winter of training behind you then now you can start to reap the rewards.
The first sign of spring seemingly brings with it a boost in form, as we break free of the shackles of winter to step up the intensity, and as summer draws closer that only continues.
Summer is the time to ride fast, feeling fit and fuelled by warm sunshine. Suddenly all that winter toil becomes worth it.
