Registration for the 2014 Etape du Tour opens on Tuesday November 12 for sportive riders bidding to tackle the route from Pau to Hautacam in the Pyrenees.
Following the same route as stage 18 of the 2014 Tour de France, confirmed at the Tour Presentation last month, the 148km course will take in the Col du Tourmalet and the Hautacam.
Taking place on Sunday July 20 – four days before the professionals tackle the same route – the closed-road sportive will be the 22nd running of the popular event.
This year’s Etape du Tour attracted 13,500 starters of which 10,627 finished – including RoadCyclingUK’s George Scott.
Registration for next year’s event opens at 11am on the Tuesday and can only be done online through the ASO Challenges website.
