Organisers of the Tour o’ the Borders have issued a final call for entries with the early-season sportive set to sell out.
The sportive, set to take place on Sunday April 14, will offer 80km and 112km routes starting from Peebles.
The inaugural Tour o’ the Borders in 2012 saw 300 riders take to the roads of the Scottish Borders and, with the start list increased to 1,000 riders, the 2013 event is close to capacity.
“The event features an absolutely stunning course through some of the most inspiring landscapes in the Scottish Borders,” said event co-director Neil Dalgleish.
“For the first time this year we are also hosting a shorter route, which will offer a slightly less challenging ride for those who want to take things a bit easier.
“This means the Tour o’ the Borders should be a great day out for everyone from the seriously fast club riders right through to those people who just love riding their bikes, and those looking for a new challenge.”
Entries will close on March 1 unless the maximum capacity of 1000 riders is reached first. Visit www.tourotheborders.com to enter.
