There’s still time to sign up for the Liverpool-Chester-Liverpool Sportive event on Sunday (July 8), but hurry – online entries close today (July 4).
Some 3,000 riders are expected to take part in the event which includes three miles in the Birkenhead Tunnel, which will be closed to traffic.
Councillor John Salter said: “Being able to cycle through the Birkenhead Tunnel is a unique opportunity. The event seems to go from strength to strength every year and it is fantastic to see so many people taking part. It is going to be a fantastic day for everyone involved.”
Riders have until the end of today (July 4) to apply for one of the five routes: the new 25 mile Chester-Liverpool route, the 25 mile Liverpool-Chester route, the 25 mile Wirral Circular route, the 50 mile Liverpool-Chester-Liverpool route or the 90 mile Liverpool Challenge.
Entries on the day are available if capacity is not reached from online registration.
