Many amateur cyclists will be tackling the 100-mile RideLondon sportive this weekend, taking in a century ride in the capital and the Surrey countryside.
The landmark ride, which for many will be the first time they’ve spent 100 miles in the saddle, is a significant achievement on any cyclist’s bucket list.
And Science in Sport has launched a Strava challenge to encourage anyone else tempted to ride 100 miles this summer to do just that in the Science in Sport Summer 100.
The Summer 100 is challenging riders to take advantage of what remains of the season by completing a century ride before the end of August, with a digital finishers’ badge and a 25 per cent off coupon up for grabs for all who complete it.
To take part, sign up to Strava if you are not already a member, join the SiS Summer 100 challenge, track your ride using the Strava app or a compatible GPS device, and upload your activity.
