Strava stats: what does a pro cyclist do on training camp?

One Pro Cycling use Strava to share an insight into their week in Mallorca

Professional cycling’s great and good have all been putting the miles in at training camps over the winter, but have you ever wondered what actually goes on?

Strava has become a great way to learn more about what, where and how the pros ride, and Chris Opie, who signed for Britain’s new domestic team, One Pro Cycling, in the winter, has shared what the team are up to in Mallorca.

Founded by cricketer Matt Prior and led by British Elite Road Series champion Yanto Barker, the team will be looking for success on the British domestic circuit with many of the riders reunited from Nigel Mansell’s all-conquering Team UK Youth squad.

And in order to prepare for the year ahead, they have been in Mallorca working on their sprinting, climbing and team time trialling.
