G!RO, Esher
G!RO, Esher
G!RO opened just 15 months ago but has found itself at the epicentre of the cycling boom in Esher – tucked neatly between the capital and the Surrey Hills.
The café was opened by Neil Goodman and Jordan Addison and the pair have established G!RO as a destination as welcoming to the community and passers-by as it is to Esher’s large cycling fraternity.
But it’s far from just a place to enjoy a coffee – though the range of coffee, cake and homemade food is first class.
A strong sense of community extends to regular rides and events, while leather sofas, cycling photography adorning the walls and racing on television make it the perfect post-ride stop, too.
A small retail section on an upper mezzanine level sells cycling essentials and clothing from selected brands, including G!RO’s custom kit from Sportful.
As coffee shops go, with drip blends sourced from a local roaster and an exclusive G!ROPRESSO blend, combined with homemade cakes and breakfasts and lunches prepared on site, G!RO is right up there with the best.
