The Tour of Britain is pleased to announce the inclusion of American based, Navigators Insurance Cycling Team to this year’s race, which starts in Glasgow, 30th August.
The American team lead by Manager Edward Beamon, were impressed by the status of last year’s race and have signed up for this years tour with the intention of stamping their authority on the new 2005 six stage race. Beamon expressed his delight with the support his team received in last year’s race and believes the Tour of Britain has a bright future.
One rider who will be hoping for success is Irish born, Ciaran Power, the leading Irish rider has won two races in his homeland this year is hoping to push his success onto the roads of Scotland and England.
Power will be supported by a line-up of professional riders who will provide the team with experience in Italian Siro Camponogara and also exciting talent in 25-year-old American rider Shawn Milne, who won two stages in this year’s Nature Valley GP in America.
