After the drama and excitement thrown up by the first three stages of the Tour of Poland, stage four was won in much less dramatic – though no less emphatic – fashion.

Jonas van Genechten (Lotto-Belisol) delivered a perfectly-timed sprint to take his victory of the season on the longest stage of this year’s race.

And his reward was a move into the top ten overall – for the time being at least, the customary bottle of champagne and a huge trophy for his fledgling collection.
