Evans Cycles, the UK’s leading independent cycle retailer, will be opening its first store of the new year in Fulham, South West London, on January 24th 2005. The new store opening apparentlyu comes in response to demand from the growing number of cyclists in the capital and the increasing number of people opting to commute to work by bike.
The 3,300sq ft store features an interesting shop design, with a small shop front opening into a very large interior, which will stock over 400 bicycles from key cycle brandsincluding Specialized, Trek, Kona, Cannondale, GT, Klein, Bianchi and many more. The product range will cover all types of bikes including road, mountain, folding, commuting and a range of children’s bicycles. An ACT (Association of Cycle Traders) approved Shimano Service Centre workshop geared up with the latest tools and equipment will be on site to handle any customer repairs and servicing work.
Evans Cycles Fulham will be located in a busy pedestrian area just off Fulham Broadway, (2 minutes from the station) pushing the company’s reach westward from Central London and complementing existing stores located in Victoria and Wandsworth. Evans Cycles Fulham will be the first new store to open in 2005 for the growing chain, which will now number 17 stores, 13 of which are based in Greater London.
