Cut-price Anquet OS mapping during January

Digital mapping specialist Anquet is offering OS Landranger mapping covering the whole of the UK at half price during January.

Basic features of the mapping on offer include creating and storaging routes on real Ordnance Survey Maps to be printed as often as desired, calculating route statistics such as distance, ascent, estimated time and creating accurate route cards for longer tours.

More advanced features include programming routes into a GPS device, uploading maps and routes to a smartphone or viewing routes in “3D” representations of OS maps.

The software is free. Users only pay for the premium maps they want to use with the software, such as an OS 1:50,000 Landranger map of Wales.

For the cyclist who prefers maps to a GPS  device Anquet can be used to plot routes on an OS 1:50,000 map and then just print out the required route-marked mapping on A4 sheets rather than taking a set of Landranger maps on a tour.

Users can also cut their own maps, to provide exactly the mapping they need. Ideal if tackling a long linear route that only requires a long, narrow section of mapping.

GPS users can plot routes in Anquet and then transfer them to the device.

Anquet is offering 50% off all Ordnance Survey 1:50,000 Landranger mapping covering the whole of Great Britain.
