Chris Froome (Team Sky) will start his bid for a second Tour de France win on the back of sealing his second Criterium du Dauphine title.

The Kenyan-born Brit stormed to victory with two stage wins in the final two days to overhaul Tejay van Garderen and claim the yellow jersey.

Froome’s second Dauphine win in three years, coupled with Sir Bradley Wiggins’ back-to-back triumphs in 2011 and 2012, mean British Team Sky riders account for four of the last five wins at the pre-Tour form finder.
