Something for everyone
Giant have launched their 2016 road range, which includes the revamped, lightweight TCR, as used by the Giant-Alpecin team, as well a new aluminium Defy Disc line-up.
Giant launched in 1972 and have gone on to become the world’s biggest bike manufacturer, supplying the likes of Giant-Alpecin’s Marcel Kittel and Tom Dumoulin at WorldTour level – but there’s something for everyone across the model year 2016 range, whether you’re after comfort, the super-light, or aerodynamics.
The new TCR broke cover earlier this year, with Giant saying the TCR SL frame offers a best-in-class stiffness-to-weight ratio, and now the full line-up of bikes has been confirmed, with machines from £2,999 to £5,499 using the flagship chassis, and a range of more affordable TCR bikes underneath, while the sportive-focused Defy now comes with disc brakes right down to the entry-level aluminium frame. That’s all before we mention the aero Propel, which carries over from 2015, and a full women’s line-up.
So, without further ado, let’s take a look at the complete Giant road range for 2016.
