Two West Country companies have joined forces to create a new range of cycling body care products.
Great Elm Physick Garden, producers of hand-made, home-grown organic products, were asked to come up with bespoke and exclusive salves and soaks by the live2ride cycle shop.
Live2ride director Richard Evans said: “We are constantly looking to improve our offer to cyclists, whether it’s about bikes or bodies, and the presence nearby of such a top body care concern as Great Elm made this range an obvious and exciting fit for us.
“I’ve only been using them a couple of days myself and already my wheels are turning with new ease and zest.”
The range includes:
Muscle Heat – a warming wax with a formidable mix of hot ginger and chilli in herb-infused sunflower seed oil.
Gluteus Maximus – a soothing chamois cream, blended from chickweed, chamomile and marigold in skin-friendly sunflower and beeswax, these herbs are dedicated to easing saddle sores.
Muscle Relief – ease into the bath and let this concoction of wintergreen, ginger, rosemary and lavender work its muscle magic on punished limbs.
Great Elm director Liv O’Hanlon added: “This has been a fantastic opportunity to demonstrate to new users the rich power and amazing properties of nature. I’m thinking of buying a bike myself just to use them.”
