A 60-year-old man has been charged with dangerous driving, drink-driving and failing to stop after a hit-and-run incident that left double Paralympic champion Simon Richardson with life-threatening injuries.

Richardson suffered spinal fractures, a broken pelvis and breastbone, and a detached lung after being struck by a van while riding on the A48 in South Wales on August 17.
The driver, from the Vale of Glamorgan, will appear before magistrates in Barry on December 7, according to the Press Association.
Richardson was released from hospital in September but faces up to three years recovery.
Richardson was awarded an MBE after winning two golds and one silver medal at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing but the accident rules the 45-year-old out of London 2012.
