Looking to pack in the climbing ahead of the Marmotte or Etape du Tour? The CycleFit Father’s Day Fondo squeezes in 3,000m in less than 100 miles.
Taking place in the Chilterns, where short, steep climbs are the norm, this Sunday, the ride has two distances on offer – 100km (2,000m of ascent) and 150km.
The event HQ will be in Dunstable, Bedfordshire, and both routes are available to download on Viewranger. CycleFit directors Phil and Jules will be setting off on the long route at 9am.
Entry costs £25 and you can secure you spot online until midnight on June 17. Otherwise, if you want to keep an eye on the weather, you can register on the day.
London cycle cafe Look Mum No Hands will man the ‘gourmet feed stations’, so expect something different to the usual array of water and energy gels.
