The London Bike Show opens today!
We’ll be bringing you the sights, sounds, and perhaps even the smells of the four-day showcase for all kinds of two-wheeled loveliness. Expect large doses of shiny things on the pages of RoadCyclingUK in the days ahead.
Here’s something to whet your appetite if you’re making the journey to London’s Excel centre between now and Sunday – carbon masterpieces from French bike builder, Cyfac, a manufacturer not known for cutting corners. Riders privileged to be customers of this exclusive brand can specify their requirements to a team of master bike builders in the Loire valley. Only a lucky few can claim to have seen the Absolu SI and the Gothica in the flesh, but punters visiting the London Bike Show can admire these French fancies at close quarters.
The Absolu SI has been described as a ‘sprinter’s dream’ so expect it to offer the zero flex, no compromise ride favoured by the pros. With a Dura Ace groupset, and deep section C50 wheels, don’t expect much change from £8,000.
For sportive riders seeking the ultimate mount, Cyfac offers the Gothica, a machine that equals the Absolu SI for uncompromising build quality, but comes with a more relaxed geometry, placing the accent on comfort. The Gothica is offered with a full Shimano Dura Ace Di2 groupset, placing cutting edge electronic shifting at the finger tips of any rider lucky enough to own such a machine.
Cyfac’s super high-end products are also available as framesets for discerning customers to specify to their own requirements. The range starts at £1100 for aluminium and steel frames, rising to £5700 for the custom carbon Absolu S2 with Di2 integration. Discerning punters can discuss options with Velo Brands staff at the show.
