Tacx is the latest manufacturer to go all environmentally conscious and add a biodegradable water bottle to its range.
The Bio-Bottle is 100% biodegradable, with at least 20% post-industrial recycled plastic, polyethylene and the use of a ‘Masterbatch’ additive making the polyethylene bio-degradable.
The Masterbatch additive makes the polyethylene degrade like paper or wood, in a process which should take between one and five years. The bottles are available in 500ml size in white only, with a simple pop on lid. Print and colour options are available for custom designs.
Team Milram will be doing its bit for the environment next year when it will excuslively use the new Bio-Bottles throughout the 2010 race season. Tacx will supply 25,000 bottles for the team to use.
