Milani Cycles has been producing bicycles since 1927 in Gallarate, Milan, Italy but in 2007 the company was relaunched by Celeste Milani. The company still produces by hand all its frames at its Italian factory, and for 2010 the company has introduced three brand new models into its range.
The Italian manufacturers range includes three distinct lines; Race, Special and Vintage. In the top-end Race line the new models are the Specialissima, N109 and Acciaio Puro. The Specialissima is described as “an extreme bicycle for the uncompromising cyclist.” It features a frame made from T800 carbon fibre and is completely built in Italy.
The N109 is an evolution of the existing N107 frameset and has been updated with wider diameter and profiled tubes, and is said to be “comfortable, aggressive and able to guarantee high performance.” Finally, the Acciaio Puro is the company’s stainless steel offering.
The new Vintage Line range is the place for replica models of classic designs. The Velocita’ Urbana pays homage to the bikes of the 1950’s and is made from Columbus tubesets.
