Mark Cavendish is three months into arguably the most important season of his career.
Having promised to do the rainbow jersey proud, the Manx Missile got off to a fantastic start to 2012, clocking up early-season victories at the Tour of Qatar and Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne, several months in advance of his happiest hunting ground, the Tour de France.
But it hasn’t all been plain sailing. Disappointment at Milan-San Remo, one of his major targets for the 2012 season, was followed by a crash at Dwars door Vlaanderen, and losing contact with the leaders at Gent-Wevelgem.
Now, as he prepares for his first outing for Team Sky alongside Bradley Wiggins at next week’s Tour of Romandie, we’ll be asking Cav about his season so far and his hopes for those big, remaining targets: a second overall victory in the green jersey classification at the Tour de France and the Olympic road race.
Since RCUK last met up with Cav in January, he’s become a father, added his voice to a campaign to bring the Tour de France to Yorkshire, and seen fellow members of the Manx cycling mafia pull on the rainbow jersey of world champion.
So here’s your chance to put your questions to Cav. Click the link at the bottom of this post, head to the forum, and add your questions to the thread. We’ll take a selection along with us on Friday.
