Here’s an interesting product. Knowing how hard it can be to keep cool on hot days, the inventors of something called Energicer claim to have found a novel way of tackling the problem of overheating.
Energicer is a a unique Swiss -eveloped liquid solution that has a high evaporation rate; the idea is that you soak a sports sweat band in the liquid and then wear it on your wrist or upper arm. By cooling the blood flow in your arms, the theory is that this cooling effect circulates around your body keeping your core temperature nicely regulated. This cooling effect last for over two hours.
The liquid combines ethyl alcohol, menthol and camphor to create a chill factor which is said to be similar to that felt by holding a cold can of drink against the skin.
It’s been tested by the Swiss Olympic Medical Centre and there’s plenty of athletes using it, including Dani Wyss who used Energicer solution in his maiden win of the gruelling 3,000 mile Race Across America in 2006.
“Whether you’re running a marathon, playing a game of tennis or happen to be stuck on a train in rush hour, Energicer really works,” says Andrew Taylor, MD, Energicer. “Staying cool means you’re less prone to dehydration and the associated negative effects of muscle fatigue and loss of concentration. Using Energicer is great for performing your best and staying on top of your game.”
Jean Schutte, a member of the English Touch Football team who regularly uses Energicer, adds: “Using the Energicer solution greatly reduces how much I sweat. I no longer suffer the cramps and muscle fatigue during competition days that I used to experience so I can now compete much more effectively, which is fantastic.”
The Energicer cooling solution comes in a 360ml can together with two sport sweatbands. Each can provides approximately 20 individual uses.
