Simon Joyce wasn’t alone in picking Peter Sagan for his RoadCyclingUK Fantasy Tour de France team for stage three, but the Magic Spanners directeur sportif also selected Edvald Boasson Hagen, Fabian Cancellara and Michael Albasini to correctly predict four of the top five.
The four riders, along with Wouter Poels, helped Joyce to 213 points for stage three – 20 points ahead of his nearest rival. Simon wins a BG F.I.T at his local Specialized Concept Store.
There are still tons of fantastic prizes up for grabs. We’re giving away either a BG F.I.T, a Solar Jet Jersey or a Echelon Helmet to the top team every day, as well as prizes for the best team at the end of each week. And the winner after three weeks of racing will ride away on a Specialized Tarmac Comp worth £2,200.
We’ve now got three stages which should favour the fast men so it’s time to pack your team with sprinters – but make sure you have enough transfers in hand to ship them out once the mountains arrive. Our pick for stage four is Lotto-Belisol’s Andre Greipel.
