Everti has been manufacturing titanium frames from its Canadian base for nearly 10 years, under the Epic Bicycles label until legal issues forced a name change a couple of years ago. The firm recently released the Eagle, with the bold claim that it’s the world’s lightest production road bike.

At just 11.5lbs (5.17kg), it’s certainly no heavyweight. But what’s more, this low weight has been achieved with a mostly stock build without having to resort to super fancy light weight components.

Everti was set up by Kurt Knock, and he says the Eagle has “…been a pet project for mine for the past year.” The bike has been through much testing in that time and passed with flying colours, he says. It’s even been tested on the punishing cobbles of the Tour of Flanders.

At the heart of the Eagle is a 3Al/2.5V titanium double butted front triangle with plain gauge rear stays. Judging from the photos, the frame appears to be exquisitely built, with super smooth welds and smart decals. Onto this frame is built SRAM’s RED derailleurs and brake levers, complemented with KCNC brake calipers, cassette, chain and cassette and Zipp’s VumaQuad chainset and handlebars, with a Ritchey WCS carbon fork and seatpost. Rims are Edge Composites carbon rims built around Extralite hubs and wrapped in Tufo S3 215 tyres. Stem is an Extralite item
