If the recent action in the Olympic velodrome has fueled your interest in track racing, there are two major events planned between now and the end of the year.
The national track championships will be held in Manchester from Wednesday September 26 to Sunday September 30.
Olympic champions Sir Chris Hoy, Jo Rowsell, Steven Burke and Peter Kennaugh will be among the riders with titles to defend.
From Friday November 16 to Sunday November 18, the second round of the UCI Track World Cup will be held at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome in Glasgow.
The new facility, which forms part of the £113m Commonwealth Arena, will host many of the riders who competed at London 2012.
British Cycling’s cycle sport, and membership director, Johnny Clay, said: “The Track World Cup in Glasgow is the first opportunity for people to see the GB cycling team in international action after the Olympic Games.
“The event promises to be a great spectacle for cycling fans as our GB athletes prepare for the 2014 Commonwealth Games and set off on the road to Rio 2016.”
Tickets for the event will go on sale to British Cycling members at 2pm on Friday (16) and on general sale six days later (Thursday 22). All are available from www.ticketmaster.co.uk.
