Daniel Lloyd (Team IG-Sigma Sport) casts a professional eye over the challenges awaiting the riders on today’s 156km leg from Carlisle to Blackpool.
The route takes in Lancaster and the Lake District and finsihes in the shadow of Blackpool Tower. The race his visited Blackpool every year since 2007.
Former British road race champion, Roger Hammond, was the first British rider to win a stage of the Tour of Britain in Blackpool in 2005.
