When you’re hot, you’re hot.
John Degenkolb (Argos-Shimano) is clearly in the form of his young career, and added a fourth stage win to his tally in the 2012 Vuelta a Espana by winning stage 10.
Britain’s Ben Swift, by contrast, endured another frustrating finish, demonstrating again the speed for a top 10 finish but unable to make the break through to a first Grand Tour stage win.
He’s proved himself at WorldTour level before, of course, bagging a brace at the 2011 Tour Down Under, and with Team Sky riding strongly in support, will hope to come good before proceedings in Spain are concluded.
Here’s a look at stage 10 through the lens of official UCI WorldTour photographer, Stefano Sirotti.
