UK clothing company Polaris has launched an all-new jacket, the Neutron, which is made from a waterproof and breathable 2.5 layer fabric and packs in a lot of features for the money.
Polaris excels at producing top performing feature packed and wallet friendly clothing, and this is clear with the Neutron. At a penny under £80 you get a features list that you’d be hard pushed to find on some, much more, expensive jackets.
Making it cycle specific is the long dropped tail to keep spray flicked up by your rear wheel off your bum, and similarly the front is slightly raised to avoid excess material bunching around your stomach when you’re in the cycling position. There’s an adjustable high neck, elasticated and adjustable hem, full-length inner storm flap, Velcro cuffs and waterproof zips to keep you completely sealed up from the elements. To finish it off there’s a smattering of reflective 3M Scotchlite details.
