2012 has been a year to remember, one that has seen enormous British success on the road and the track, a home Olympics brilliantly realised, and a host of new machinery and components unveiled.
Here’s hoping 2013 will be every bit as good, and with Wiggins and Froome set to launch a two-pronged attack on the Tour, the London 100 and London Classic set to reprise the enormous popularity of the Olympic road race, and the industry’s biggest players ready to push the engineering envelope still further, there’s no reason why it shouldn’t be.
Stay safe if you’re out on the bike this Christmas, enjoy this period of carbo loading, catch up with the cycling books you’ve been meaning to read all year, and prepare yourself for a superb 2013.
