Another wet and windy start greeted the riders as they arrived at Belfast’s Titanic Quarter ahead of stage two of the 2014 Giro d’Italia.
The first road stage takes the peloton out to the Northern Irish coast and back into the city centre – a total of 219km.
And RCUK was on hand as the riders prepared to roll out, with jackets and waterproofs the accessoires de jour as rain began to fall.
Look out for plenty of pro bike features throughout this Giro d’Italia, after we snapped the steeds of riders including pre-race favourites, Michele Scarponi (Astana) and Joaquim Rodriguez (Katusha).
Follow us on Twitter from 2pm for live commentary of today’s second stage, and check back later for a full report, photo gallery, rider reaction, and more.
Until then, enjoy this look inside the team paddock at the Titanic Quarter.
