Founded in 1997, Dutch brand BeOne hasn’t popped up very high on the UK radar but, now that online retailers Chain Reaction Cycles are handling the UK distribution, that should change.

And there’s certainly plenty to get excited about, as a casual flick through the brochure confirms: BeOne has produced some highly polished, well priced and well specced bikes. The range is split between three carbon and three aluminium bikes, all covering different price points.

All the bikes share the same race-orientated geometry however, so there’s no compromise as you move up or down the ladder. The three carbon bikes adopt an identical frameset which features some interesting technology – these certainly don’t appear to be off-the-shelf frames simply stickered up at BeOne’s request – produced by a company with a leaning towards producing high quality and high performance bikes.

The £3299.99 Rosso, striking in red and black, is the topmost offering and gets you a SRAM RED groupset and Pro-Lite carbon wheels for a total weight of 6.8kg. RCUK has just received the Black, a Shimano 105-kitted bike that gets the same frame as the Rosso but at an asking price of £1599.99. Full test soon…

Elsewhere in the range there are 6061-T6 aluminium frames based around the same geometry as the carbon offerings, but at more affordable prices. Prices start from £749.99 and top out at £1149.99.
