For warm feet in winter, wear warm socks. And plenty of other stuff, but socks are the basis of effective foot protection and these beauties from Bio-Racer sure are effective.
They are thick over the top but not too thick on the sole, avoiding that compressible feeling underfoot when pedalling hard. Carbon fibres are incorporated into the ThermoCool weave, apparently to improve insulation still further. It’s just possible they do exactly that, but the important point is surely that they feel lovely and warm even when the air temperature is, as it has been recently for much of the time, well below zero.
They’re supportive and snug, too, thanks to a tailored fit with left-and right-foot shaping denoted by the appropriate letter, which is usefully placed to be noticeable as soon as they are pulled on.
Available in black-grey and black, sizes S-XL
