Arm warmers can be as simple as a rolled tube of fabric with a single line of stitching, but we’re happy to report that Café du Cycliste has adopted a more engineered approach to its Loulou Cuff SuperRoubaix offering.
A three-panel construction, that roughly corresponds to bicep, forearm, and wrist, it offers a close fit and a full range of movement. So far, so good.
The proof of any arm warmer, however, comes in its ability to keep out the cold, and we’ll be better placed to offer an opinion on this in our review. At this stage, we can report that the fleece of the Super Roubaix fabric looks and feels thick and insulating, and that the deep cuff offers a very close fit, which we’re confident will seal out the wind.
Our final word on the Loulou Cuff concerns its appearance, which places it among the more stylish arm warmers we’ve seen. Seams running across the warmer draw attention to the multi-panel construction, and the “chocolate” panel from the wrist to the forearm looks pretty cool. There’s a felt badge with the CdC logo on the left warmer, too.
The Café Du Cyclist Loulou Cuff arm warmer is available in black and chocolate, and in small, medium and large, and costs £34 a pair.
