Cannondale are set to launch a disc-equipped version of the CAAD10 in August, while the Synapse Disc range is also set to grow for model year 2015.
The CAAD10 is Cannondale’s high-end, aluminium race frame, designed for racers and fast club riders seeking an affordable alternative to carbon, and the CAAD10 Disc will come dressed in SRAM’s new Rival 22 groupset with hydraulic disc brakes, with the retail price expected to be in the region of £1,799.
The Synapse, meanwhile, is Cannondale’s ‘comfort’ bike and three disc-equipped models (one carbon fibre, two aluminium) were included the range when the frame was revamped last year. Now Cannondale are set to grow the disc collection with a wider range which is expected to start with an aluminium Synapse Disc at £950 and rising to a carbon fibre Synapse Disc with Shimano Ultegra and hydraulic stoppers at approximately £2,500.
Cannondale have also confirmed a CAAD10 Track bike is also set to join the range, with a machine equipped Mavic Ellipse wheels and SRAM Omnium chainset expected to cost in the region of £1,500.
That’s all we know for now but we’ll find out more at Cannondale’s official launch in early August.
