Carbon pedalling dynamics
A move to carbon-composite for the moulded body has allowed Shimano to shave 30g from the weight of the new Dura-Ace pedal, which is expected to be available in the UK from September 2010.
Coded PD-7900, the carbon Dura-Ace pedal retains the features of its predecessors, has a stainless steel pressure plate to ensure longevity and is claimed to weigh 248g per pair.
