Endura launch ‘game changing’ custom design tool

Scottish clothing brand offer fully customisable jerseys and bib shorts, with single orders accepted

Scottish apparel brand Endura, suppliers to world number one team Movistar and the Cervelo Bigla women’s team, have launched endura.me – a fully customisable, online designer to create and order your own jerseys and bib shorts online.

The Livingston-based brand believe it will be a ‘game changer’ for the industry, and to coincide with the launch have also revealed the shortlist for the inaugural ‘Endura Prize’.

Twelve students from some of Britain’s world class arts institutions are competing for the £5,000 prize, with their designs voted for by endura.me users.

Managing director Jim McFarlance said of endura.me: “Endura is uniquely placed to offer a service as powerful and creative as endura.me.

“At Livingston, we have the highly-skilled people and cutting edge manufacturing facilities to completely change the game for custom clothing.

“It’s tremendously exciting to be able to place the same people and processes that create race wear for Movistar Team and Cervélo Bigla at the disposal of endura.me users, and to facilitate a global online community of cyclists and designers.”

The new custom design tool uses the same 3D garment templates as used by Endura’s professionals, with no limitations on design – working seamlessly with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDraw and other leading design packages.

Whereas other custom clothing sites require bulk purchases, endura.me users can also place orders for single garments, with their designs manufactured at Endura HQ in Livingston.

Having rolled out the new site for testing, Dorset-based graphic designer and cyclist Chris Raymond, 33, gave a glowing reference of endura.me.

“It was super easy to use and the quality of the jersey print, especially the colour blend, is excellent,” he said.

“The 3D garment template in endura.me was extremely useful – more useful than I’d guessed it could be – and allowed me to make numerous amendments and re-upload the design until I was satisfied.”

Users can create their own account at endura.me to store and work upon their design, and Endura expect to manufacture completed garments within three weeks.
