As used by the Tour’s top teams

To celebrate their presence at the heart of the world’s premier road race, Polar has launched the S725X Tour Edition cycling computer, allowing cyclists of all abilities to use the most trusted heart rate based training tool amongst professional cyclists.

The only complete cycling system, Polar’s latest cycling computer is packed with accurate, advanced features including speed, distance, altitude, ascent, power output and cadence measurement, as well as Polar’s world-leading heart rate monitoring technology and wireless connectivity.

So you can manage your training on or off the bike Polar’s new tour edition computer allows you to monitor your progress and plan your program in the gym or in the saddle. Offering the ultimate combination of features to unlock your potential and help you achieve your goals, key performance features incorporated into the S725X Tour Edition include:

Polar OwnOptimizer

Resting is as important as training and Polar’s OwnOptimizer test informs you as to whether you have recovered enough for your next training session. This valuable test produces a description of your personal training status and is an easy and reliable way to determine whether your training program is optimally developing your performance.

Exercise Set (extended exercise profiles)

Allowing you to select exercise programs for your personally tailored interval training. This feature provides Heart Rate Zones for you to work in and enables you to calculate your recovery time ensuring that you use your exercise time efficiently and effectively.

Speed and Distance

For multi-sports training, running speed and distance can be measured with the optional Polar S1 Foot Pod, a detachable sensor easily attached to your shoe instantly transfers data to your wrist unit allowing you to see you pace as min/km or min/mile.

Polar for your bike

With Polar’s simple to use and discreet bike accessories, your cycling computer can not only transfer data from your body but as quick as the wheels are turning, you can instantly read and record all that your bike is telling you.

Power output – the Complete Cycling System

Polar

New look monitor from Polar

An optional feature, allowing riders to control the intensity of their cycling exercise, the complete all-in-one, wireless, training tool measures riders’ power output in comparison with their heart rate, left-right balance, pedaling index, cadence, speed and distance. Power Output is the most accurate way to control your cycling training intensity. Most of the professional cyclists use power measurement in training which is based on chain vibration and velocity.

Riders can analyse their training data by viewing the S725X Tour Edition’s wrist unit or transferring the data to Polar’s Precision Performance software or Polar Cycling Coach web service for further monitoring and analysis.

The S725X Tour Edition is now available from leading sport stores at a manufacturers recommended retail price of £244.50.
